Machine Quilting - 6 hours, all levels
This is a free motion machine quilting workshop. All aspects of the quilting process will be discussed from marking, basting to working on large quilts. Students must have a sewing machine in good working order with a darning foot. (In this class, students bring a yard of fabric and are instructed to mark 7-10 designs on it. These samples represent a yard of fabric. Sample 1 - Sample 2)
Double Wedding Ring - 6 hours, intermediate
This Double Wedding Ring has paper pieced arcs to speed up the piecing process. Then it is assembled into clam shell units. You will get step by step instructions that will make the top assembly an enjoyable process. Samples of Double Wedding Ring quilts: Sample 1, Sample 2, and Sample 3. |
Cables and Borders - 6 hours, free motion quilting experience required
Want to move on past the continuous line designs? This class focuses on finding the easiest path to quilt a design. We will be stitching over the same line more than once to eliminate starting and stopping as much as possible. Sample 1 and Sample 2
Radiant Feathered Star - 6 hours, intermediate
The feathered star looks intimidating with all those little points. But if you break the block down into three different units, it’s not as hard as it looks. Precision cutting and piecing is required for this block. Click here to see sample of block.
Feathers and Grids - 6 hours, free motion quilting experience required
If you already know how to free motion machine quilt and want a little challenge, this is the class for you. We will work on making those wonderful feathers with a grid background filler. Part of the class will be used to draw your own feathers using a circle template. Instructions on using the Grid Marker from The Stencil Company will be included in the class.
